DRUGS and the drug war: Our nation, has for a very long time, been fighting a drug war, of its own making, which has directly resulted in international drug cartels, and local drug dealing gangs, and the rapid increase of a criminal element into our society, due to the legislation of anti-drug laws, by the same kind of people who forced Prohibition on America during the early part of the 20th century, and eventually, they all had to admit, prohibition, doesnt work.
Proposed solutions for the Drug WAR :
a) Prohibition did not work then, and IT DOES NOT WORK NOW.
b) In fact the reason they had to put forward an amendment banning Alcohol, is because under the Constitutional common law legal system provided for in the Constitution, there is no way to enforce or convict people for making or consuming drugs or alcohol.
Because under the Constitution, if we are causing no harm, and doing no damage and otherwise, not infringing on the rights of others, then we are not doing anything wrong.
WHICH is why they had to have an amendment to make Alcohol illegal.
c) When the Constitution is restored as law, all present drug laws from 1933 and there-after after, will become meaningless, and the people will be set free to do as they wish, under the Common Law, as long as they 'do no harm'.
d) I can tell you honestly, and I'm sure many of you rememeber, Alcohol was great fun, until we turned 21, after which it was no longer a big deal. And the statistical evidence shows more deaths, disturbances, and problems in our nation are caused by Alcohol, than by any other drug.
e) The fact is, right now, with all the laws, drugs are more availible than ever, in fact, drugs were never easier to get than when I was in High School, and their illegal sale, has, and is breeding a criminal element just as it did in the early 1900's... where it breed mobsters, gangs, smugglers, bootleggers etc, and made the Kennedy family rich.
f) The present system of anti-drug laws, does NOT WORK, and is filling our prisons with people who's only crime is getting high, and worst of all, these laws are only making criminals rich, and provides not one penny in tax revenue.
LEGALIZING most drugs, will take all the power and wealth out of the hands of criminals, and give the government the power to regulate consumption, and tax it heavily. (As evidenced by Medical Marijuana in California! and its legal status in several States!)
Besides, when the Constitution is restored, the people regain their freedom to do as they please, regardless. As free people, we learn to grow up responsible citizens, and if we dont, we end up learning our lesson, which as free people, is how it is supposed to be, under constitutional law.
And if something like Heroin or Cocaine is to be made illegal then it must be done by constitutional amendment, PERIOD. That is how its supposed to be done, constitutionally..
